Program Description
Discover some of Chiang Mai's most important temples on a short walking tour through the historic city centre. In around two hours, explore three remarkable examples of sacred architecture and discover the rich cultural heritage of northern Thailand.
The first stop is Wat Chedi Luang, an impressive 14th- to 15th-century temple dominated by a huge stupa. As you explore the extensive grounds, admire distinctive Lanna-style architecture and discover the history of one of Chiang Mai's most important religious sites.
Next, visit Wat Phan Tao, a smaller temple known for its intricately carved teakwood façade. The final stop is Wat Phra Singh, one of the city's finest temples, featuring a richly decorated sanctuary, colourful mosaics, gilded pagodas and the famous Lion Buddha statue.
