Program Description

There are places where simply turning into the next street can feel like stepping back several centuries. Toledo and Segovia are exactly like that. On this day trip, you’ll discover two cities where history can be found at almost every turn - from the medieval streets of Toledo to the monumental traces of Roman engineering in Segovia.

Toledo, known as the second Rome, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986. A walk through the city takes you past places that tell the story of its rich cultural heritage. You’ll see Toledo Cathedral, the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes and the San Martín Bridge, while Mirador del Valle offers panoramic views across the city. Between the main sights, take time to simply follow Toledo’s streets - discover a small square, wander through a garden and uncover more of the city as you go.

Toledo has a character that is difficult to appreciate during a quick stop at a single landmark. It is best discovered at a leisurely pace, when you can let its streets lead you from one place to another. Your guide will help you understand the significance of the main sights and introduce you to the city’s history and architecture.

Then the scenery changes completely. In Segovia, your first impression is likely to be the Roman Aqueduct - a monumental structure that reveals just how remarkable the engineering achievements of the Romans were. From there, you’ll continue to Segovia Cathedral, walk through the historic Canonjías district and finally reach the Alcázar - one of the most recognisable symbols of Spanish art and history.

And it is this contrast that makes the trip so memorable. First comes Toledo - a city you discover step by step, wandering through its streets and hidden corners. Then comes Segovia - monumental, with its Roman Aqueduct and the Alcázar rising above the historic part of the city. Throughout the day, an expert guide will introduce you to the history and architecture of the places you visit, allowing you to discover not only the sights themselves, but also the stories behind them.
