Discover a lesser-known side of Maya culture on a tour to Ek' Balam, a majestic cenote and a place where you can learn about local traditions. This experience combines archaeological sightseeing, time in nature and an introduction to the region’s cultural heritage.
Your first stop will be Ek' Balam, an ancient Maya city that flourished long before Chichén Itzá. Recent restoration work has made it possible to discover more of the remains of this fascinating archaeological site and learn about its history.
Next, head to a cenote, a natural pool surrounded by distinctive geological formations. Enjoy a refreshing swim in its waters and take part in the activities available on site.
You will also learn more about Maya culture by taking part in a traditional ceremony and tasting typical regional dishes.
