Program Description
Discover Kyoto's most famous landmarks and cultural highlights on a full-day guided tour. Explore traditional Japanese architecture, temples surrounded by greenery and historic sites that reflect the character of Japan's former imperial capital.
Start at Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, where you can walk among towering bamboo stalks. Continue to the Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji), whose distinctive gold-covered exterior is reflected in the tranquil pond surrounding the temple.
Next, visit Nijo Castle, the former residence of the shoguns, known for its impressive interiors and traditional Japanese architecture. Continue to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, where you can enjoy views across Kyoto. The surrounding area is also home to traditional streets lined with shops and local crafts.
Conclude your tour at Fushimi Inari Shrine, famous for its thousands of red torii gates winding through the forested hillside.
If a visit to Nijo Castle is not possible, Sanjūsangen-dō Temple will be visited instead
