Program Description

Discover Pompeii, one of the world's most important archaeological sites, on a full-day trip from Rome. This experience offers a fascinating insight into a city where everyday life was brought to a sudden halt by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.

The journey begins in Rome in the morning and takes you through the picturesque Castelli Romani countryside. Along the way, admire views of the historic Abbey of Montecassino, set on a hill and known for its historical significance.

Upon arrival in Pompeii, explore the famous ruins of this ancient Roman city. Walking through the archaeological site reveals the scale of the former settlement and provides an insight into everyday life during Roman times.

Among the remarkably preserved remains are houses, villas, baths and frescoes, along with other traces of daily life. The exceptional state of preservation makes Pompeii one of Italy's most remarkable archaeological sites.

Throughout the trip, an experienced tour leader will assist with the journey and organisation of the visit.

After exploring Pompeii, return to the coach for the journey back to Rome.

The itinerary and programme may be subject to change.
