Program Description
Discover Thessaloniki, Greece's second-largest city, on a tour that combines visits to its most important landmarks with free time to explore the city at your own pace.
After arriving in Thessaloniki, you will begin a guided tour through the city's historic centre. The route passes the Arch of Galerius, one of the city's most important Roman monuments, before continuing to the Byzantine city walls, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Thessaloniki and the Thermaic Gulf.
The tour continues to the Church of Saint Demetrius, the city's patron saint and one of Greece's most significant Byzantine churches. Your guided walk ends at the Roman Forum, where you will learn more about Thessaloniki's ancient history.
After the guided tour, you will have free time to shop, explore the city centre or relax with a coffee at the unique pirate ship café moored near the White Tower.
