Program Description
Escape the hustle and bustle of Shanghai and discover the charm of Zhujiajiao, one of the best-preserved ancient water towns in China. This half-day excursion takes you through a picturesque world of stone bridges, historic streets and tranquil canals that have shaped the town's unique character for more than 400 years.
Located around 25 km from central Shanghai, Zhujiajiao is famous for its winding canals, traditional architecture and peaceful atmosphere, earning it the nickname "Shanghai's Venice." As you stroll through the town, you will admire centuries-old houses, elegant stone bridges and scenic waterfronts that provide the perfect setting for memorable photographs.
One of the highlights of the tour is a traditional wooden boat cruise along the canals. From the water, you will enjoy a unique perspective of the historic town while observing the daily life of local residents and the beautifully preserved architecture lining the waterways.
After the boat ride, you will have time to explore the charming streets, browse local shops and markets, and discover traditional handicrafts, souvenirs and regional delicacies.
