Program Description
Lanzarote is an island where nature reveals its most dramatic and untamed side. During this tour, you will discover places where volcanic fire meets the Atlantic Ocean, and solidified lava creates landscapes that feel almost otherworldly. It is a day of striking contrasts, powerful scenery and stories written in stone.
Your journey begins in La Geria, a unique wine-growing region shaped by volcanic eruptions. The landscape of black lava and ash is home to vineyards planted in characteristic hollows, carefully designed to protect the vines from strong winds. Here, you will see how local farmers have adapted to the island’s harsh conditions, turning volcanic soil into the foundation of Lanzarote’s renowned wines.
Next, you will travel to the north of the island to visit Jameos del Agua – a remarkable volcanic cave transformed into an artistic space by the celebrated local artist César Manrique. As you walk through lava tunnels and admire the underground lagoon, you will experience a place where architecture, art and nature blend in perfect harmony.
After a lunch break, you will head towards the west coast to explore the island’s main highlight – Timanfaya National Park. This extraordinary area is home to the youngest volcanoes of Lanzarote, known as the Mountains of Fire. You will witness geothermal phenomena that reveal the immense energy still present beneath the surface. The drive along Ruta de los Volcanes takes you through a surreal landscape of craters, solidified lava flows and vast volcanic fields.
The programme also includes a stop at El Golfo, a unique crater lake famous for its intense emerald-green colour. Surrounded by black sand and dramatic coastal scenery, it is one of the most iconic natural sights on Lanzarote.
The order of visits and the programme may change.
