Program Description

Discover the fascinating face of South Korea’s capital, where tradition blends seamlessly with modernity. During this full-day tour, you will immerse yourself in the history, culture, and everyday life of Seoul, visiting its most important landmarks and gaining a deeper understanding of this unique country. It’s the perfect experience if you want to see more than just a modern metropolis - you will feel the atmosphere of ancient dynasties, explore Korea’s spiritual side, and end the day in vibrant shopping districts.

Your journey begins with a comfortable drive through Seoul. Along the way, you will pass the Blue House, the official residence of the President of South Korea - a symbol of the country’s modern history and governance. You will then head to the most important royal palace in Korea - Gyeongbokgung Palace, once the main seat of the Joseon Dynasty. As you walk through its vast courtyards and elegant pavilions, you will step back in time and discover the story of Korea’s monarchy.

Within the palace complex, you will also visit the National Folk Museum of Korea, where you will learn about traditional Korean life - from historical clothing to customs and rituals that have shaped the culture for centuries.

Next, you will visit the Jogyesa Temple, one of the most significant centres of Buddhism in Korea. It’s a unique opportunity to experience a peaceful, spiritual atmosphere right in the heart of the bustling city. You will notice how Korean Buddhist traditions differ slightly from those in other Asian countries and how deeply they are rooted in everyday life.

During the day, you will also stop at a ginseng centre - a plant that has been highly valued in Korea for centuries for its health properties. You will learn more about its cultural significance and have the opportunity to purchase products as souvenirs.

After a lunch break in a traditional restaurant, you will continue to another remarkable site - Changdeokgung Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the best-preserved royal palaces in Korea, renowned for its harmony with nature and elegant architecture.

To end the day, you will experience the modern side of Seoul. In the Insadong district, you will discover traditional tea houses, art galleries, and local handicrafts, while strolling through lively streets filled with unique souvenirs. You will then visit Namdaemun Market - the largest and oldest market in Seoul, where you can find everything from local food to clothing and electronics. It’s the perfect place to soak up the local atmosphere and pick up memorable souvenirs.

After a day full of experiences, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Seoul, enriched with new insights into South Korea.
