Program Description

Transfer from meeting points to the city of Monemvasia. After arrival at the part of the city called New Town we will take about 1,5 km long walk towards Old Town. You can also use bus to travel this distance (for an additional fee). First stop at the lower town and walk through cobblestone streets. You can discover here remains from the different eras – from Middle ages to Ottoman period. Than walk uphill towards Upper City and the fortifications where you can enjoy beautiful panorama of the city. Than visit the Byzantine church Hagia Sofia and the castle, where you can admire amazing view of the Aegean Sea. Return to the New Town on foot or by bus (for an additional fee) and transfer back to the meeting points.
