Program Description

Experience a day filled with history, legends, and the vibrant colours of Cairo. This excursion is perfect for those who want to feel the spirit of ancient Egypt while also immersing themselves in the lively streets of a traditional Arabian bazaar.

Your journey begins with a hotel pick-up and transfer to the Giza Plateau. Here you’ll see the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. This is a breathtaking panorama that has fascinated travellers for thousands of years. Standing nearby is the mighty Sphinx, the iconic limestone statue with the body of a lion and the face of a pharaoh.

The next highlight of the excursion is the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to thousands of artefacts from different eras of Egyptian history. The most popular are the world-famous treasures of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, including his golden mask, exquisite jewellery, and artefacts from his tomb. Walking among statues of gods, sarcophagi, and papyrus manuscripts, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of both history and culture.

After this dose of history, you’ll pause for lunch at a traditional restaurant.

The final stop is the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, a market that has been operating since the 14th century. Bursting with colours, aromas, and sounds, it’s a place where you can find everything from fragrant spices and handmade jewellery to ornate lamps and authentic souvenirs. Many of its streets date back to the time of the sultans, and some shops have been in operation for centuries.

The day concludes with a return transfer to your hotel.

Please note that the order of visits and the program may be subject to change.
