Program Description

Day 1:

Your adventure begins early in the morning with a quick breakfast stop in Alexandria. Once fueled for the day, you’ll set off on the scenic 9-hour journey to Siwa Oasis. Along the way, you’ll break for lunch in Marsa Matrouh, where you can enjoy a meal and a refreshing rest stop by the Mediterranean Sea. After lunch, continue your journey to the remote and serene Siwa Oasis. Upon arrival, you’ll check in at a comfortable and charming hotel. As the sun begins to set, you’ll be treated to a breathtaking sunset view while sipping on fresh Siwa juices—a perfect introduction to the tranquility of this oasis. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant before heading to the Siwa market. Explore the market’s vibrant stalls filled with local crafts, souvenirs, and traditional Siwan products. Afterward, return to your hotel for a restful night.

Day 2:

After a hearty breakfast, your second day kicks off with a guided tour of Siwa’s most famous landmarks. Your first stop is the Mountain of the Dead (Gebel al-Mawta), an ancient necropolis filled with tombs dating back to the 26th Dynasty. Explore the fascinating burial chambers adorned with vibrant paintings and learn about the history and legends associated with this sacred site. Next, visit the Temple of the Oracle of Amun, where Alexander the Great is said to have received divine confirmation of his status as a god-king. Wander through the ruins and imagine the ancient ceremonies that once took place here. After returning to your hotel, enjoy a traditional Siwan lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, prepare for an exhilarating 4x4 desert safari through the Great Sand Sea. Experience the thrill of dune bashing as you navigate the towering sand dunes, and take in the awe-inspiring views of the endless desert landscape. Your safari includes a visit to the Cold Lake, a serene desert lake where you can relax and soak in the natural beauty of the surroundings. As the day draws to a close, head to a prime vantage point to witness a mesmerizing sunset over the dunes. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Bedouin dinner under the stars. Immerse yourself in the local culture with live music and storytelling around the campfire. Afterward, visit Cleopatra’s Spring, a natural hot spring where you can take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters. Legend has it that Cleopatra herself once bathed in these rejuvenating waters.

Day 3:

On your final day, savor a leisurely breakfast before continuing your exploration of Siwa. Take time to visit the local souks (markets), where you can shop for handcrafted souvenirs such as Siwan pottery, jewelry, and textiles. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a local café (at your own expense), soaking in the last moments of the oasis’s unique charm. In the afternoon, begin your journey back to Alexandria, reflecting on the unforgettable experiences and the serene beauty of Siwa Oasis. You’ll arrive in Alexandria in the evening, concluding your magical 3-day excursion.
