Begin your journey with transfer to the mountain village of Minca, located on the green foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Then you will visit a traditional coffee plantation run by a local family, where you'll have the opportunity to learn about the entire coffee-making process – from harvesting to drying and roasting the beans – with a chance to taste the coffee. Next, a guided walk along mountain trails leading to waterfalls and natural pools where you can cool off. Then a stop at a house built from bamboo and a lunch inspired by local flavors. This is also an opportunity to see guadua – a type of really sturdy Colombian bamboo. The day concludes with cacao workshops, including the chance to make your own energy bar from cacao beans. Return to the hotels.
