Pick up from the hotel and transfer to the ferry terminal in Langkawi. Travel by ferry to Kuala Kedah, then transfer to Penang Island. Time for lunch at a local restaurant.
Next, transfer to Georgetown, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2008. The first stop on the tour is the Reclining Buddha statue, the third-largest in the world. Then, visit the Kek Lok Si Temple, built in 1904, known as the Temple of 1000 Buddhas and considered the largest and most beautiful Buddhist temple complex in Southeast Asia.
The tour also includes a photo stop at Fort Cornwallis, the landing site of Francis Light, who arrived in 1786 to establish the first British colony in Penang. Next, visit The Clan Jetties, a water village located along Weld Quay, named after the clans of the residents. Pitt Street, another attraction, is also known as “Harmony Street,” where churches, mosques, and Hindu temples have coexisted for centuries.Visit the home of the Khoo Kong Si clan and free time. The day ends with a transfer back to the hotel.
The second day begins with an early breakfast at the hotel. After check-out, depart for the Kuala Kedah pier, where the ferry will depart for Langkawi. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.
